Announcement of the Launch of the EMOTORSPORTS Department and New Member Signings
ZETA DIVISION is pleased to announce the establishment of its EMOTORSPORTS Department, along with the addition of four new members: Takuma Miyazono, Seiya Suzuki, Tatsuya Sugawara, and Ryutaro Mori.
About the Establishment of the EMOTORSPORTS Department
This new department takes its first step through Gran Turismo, a title that has long stood at the forefront of e-motorsports. Gran Turismo is a driving simulator series developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, renowned for its realistic graphics and vehicle dynamics. Victory is achieved through refined driving technique and race strategy, while robust assist features make the game accessible to beginners. At the same time, its deep gameplay—centered on the pursuit of ultimate lap times—continues to captivate a wide range of drivers.
The competitive scene is firmly established through the Gran Turismo World Series, the official global championship. This series is conducted in cooperation with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body of real-world motorsports, and has even been featured in esports events organized by Olympic committees—demonstrating its strong international presence.
Inspired by the future potential of e-motorsports, where the virtual and real worlds converge, ZETA DIVISION has established the EMOTORSPORTS Department to pursue further growth of the community alongside drivers who aim to compete on the global stage.
About the New Members
The following four drivers have joined the EMOTORSPORTS Department:
Takuma Miyazono
One of the most prominent top players in Gran Turismo, Miyazono has reached the pinnacle as a world champion in virtual racing while also competing on real-world circuits—truly a “dual-threat” driver bridging virtual and real motorsports. Turning dreams into reality, never leaving ambition as mere admiration.
